What is a Resin Driveway?
Resin Bound Gravel Driveways are becoming increasingly popular due to their fantastic appearance along with impressive versatility and durability. They can be laid in various colours and in an array of different finishes to compliment your home and provide a hard-wearing, fabulous looking driveway or garden area.
Resin Driveways last around 15 years (typically longer lasting than tarmac)and retain their new appearance far longer than most traditional finishes.
How are Resin Driveways Installed?
Resin driveways are laid using certain gravels or aggregates, creating a solid driveway on a rigid base. The gravel also acts as a natural drainage system helping to avoid puddling and surface frost when the temperatures drop. Different sizes and colours of gravel can be used in the process, giving you much more control and choice over the finished look.
Resin Bond is also highly versatile, offering a practical surface for resin pathways, patios, pool or hot tub surroundings, and many other surfaces which require a hard-wearing durable area.
How the process works
- 1. Agree on the colour, style and finish
- 2. Agree upon Installation date
- 3. We excavate the area and create a solid stone base to lay the resin bond on
- 4. We create solid edgings (if required) to ensure the driveway is rigid & level
- 5. We craft the mixture by mixing the resin bond with the agreed aggregate chosen
- 6. Finally, we lay the resin mixture by machine or hand depending on the area size
